Fotografia Europea is an international festival of contemporary photography, founded in 2006 and promoted by the Fondazione Palazzo Magnani and the Municipality of Reggio Emilia. It is inspired by the vision of Luigi Ghirri and uses photography as a means to reflect on contemporary reality.
The festival takes place across various locations throughout the city and revolves around exhibitions dedicated to an annual theme, including newly commissioned works. Alongside the exhibitions, it offers a wide program of events such as talks, workshops, screenings, and performances.
The theme of the 2026 edition is “Ghosts of the Everyday.”
