What you will do
Discover where Tiramisù was truly born with a guided walk through the historic centre of Treviso.
Starting from Piazza dei Signori, we will explore the city’s charming streets, canals and squares while uncovering the places connected to the origins of the world’s most famous Italian dessert.
During the tour you will discover:
• the restaurants and pastry shops that claim the invention of Tiramisù
• stories and curiosities about the original recipe
• the tradition of Tiramisù as an energising dessert
• the places linked to the Tiramisù World Cup
The tour ends at the historic restaurant Le Beccherie, a symbolic place in the history of Tiramisù.

What to expect
Many stories have been told about the origin of Tiramisù — some of them quite imaginative. The truth is that this famous dessert was born right here in Treviso and evolved from traditional recipes prepared in local homes and restaurants.
During the tour you will discover:
• the story of the “legitimate Tiramisù of Le Beccherie”, described by food writer Giuseppe Maffioli
• why Treviso is officially recognised as the birthplace of Tiramisù by the Accademia Italiana della Cucina
• the legends connected to the city’s historic red-light districts
• the story of the Tiramisù World Cup, the international competition dedicated to this dessert.
