"La Vita Da Grandi": the film that tells autism with love and truth - Screening in Carpi on May 12

A cinematic debut that excites and makes you think: on Monday 12 May 2025 at 9:00 pm, at the Cinema Corso in Carpi, “La Vita Da Grandi” will be on stage, within the International Festival of Different Abilities.

Written and directed by Greta Scarano, in her first attempt as a director, the film is freely inspired by the true story of the brothers Damiano and Margherita Tercon, told in their book “Mia sorella mi rompe le bale.
Una storia di autistio normale”.
A powerful film, which delicately and profoundly addresses the theme of autism and becoming an adult in a world that often struggles to understand diversity.

“La Vita Da Grandi” is first and foremost a love story between siblings: a strong, sincere, at times comical and poignant bond, which leads both to discover who they really are.
Growing up, after all, is a challenge that has no age. Especially when you are almost forty, with a dream in the drawer and a diagnosis that has always been with you.

The film is the spokesperson of a universal message: inclusion comes from listening and knowing others.
Realistic enough to touch the heart and at the same time full of empathy, Greta Scarano's story invites us to look at the world with new eyes, valuing what makes every human being unique.
