Fall Out Boy formed in the suburbs of Chicago in 2000 and made their debut in 2003 with the album Fall Out Boy's Evening Out With Your Girlfriend, immediately followed by Take This To Your Grave (Fueled by Ramen): the two discs prelude, in the same year, the signing of a contract with Island Records and the release of the acoustic My Heart Will Always Be The B-Side To My Tongue. In 2005 the enormous success of the album From under the cork tree - thanks also to the singles Sugar we're going down, dance, dance and A little less sixteen candles, a little more 'Touch me' - becomes a double disc by platinum in the United States, transforming the underground group into international superstars.
The new status is confirmed both with a Grammy nomination for "Best new act" in 2005 and with the publication, in 2007, of the fifth Fall Out album
Boy, Infinity On High, which projects them again into the top positions of the American charts. After Folie A Deux, a five-year break follows in which the various members of the group are dedicated to side activities. In 2013 it was the turn of the new album Save Rock And Roll, followed, two years later, by American Beauty/American Psycho. Between 2018 and 2019 they released the album Mania - which earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Rock Album and marked their third consecutive album and fourth #1 album overall - their ninth EP, Lake Effect Kid, and the record Believers Never Die (Volume 2), their second greatest hits album.
In July 2021 Fall Out Boy kicked off their THE HELLA MEGA TOUR alongside Green Day and Weezer, performing live to over 1 million fans in a sold-out global stadium tour. The US tour sold out numerous stadiums, including renowned arenas such as Wrigley Field in Chicago, Fenway Park in Boston, and Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Critical and fan acclaim have soared, with USA Today calling the tour "the richest line-up of any rock tour of 2021" and Rolling Stone calling it "wildly entertaining." The tour was nominated for both Major Tour of the Year and Best Rock Tour at the Pollstar Awards of 2021. The band's new and eighth studio album entitled
So Much (For) A Stardust. The album is anticipated by the two songs, presented one week apart from each other, Love From the Other Side and Heartbreak Feels So Good is the radio partner of the event.
