From August 23rd to 25th the Medieval Games of Sluderno are back!

The Medieval Games of Sluderno are back, from August 23rd to 25th, highlights of this edition will be the 500th anniversary of Leonardo Da Vinci and Emperor Maximilian I.

As always, many fun activities will be available for adults and children, to live a full immersion in the medieval atmosphere.

Be enchanted by the spectacular knightly tournaments and battle scenes with noble knights riding their steeds. Among the great battles rebuilt: La Battaglia della Calva, lost by the emperor Maximilian I in 1499.

You could find the Europe-Cup Full contact combat: the challengers face off in an international tournament of genuine free fighting.

At the Medieval Games, there will also be musical and comic entertainment, with the Italians Rota Temporis, the Teufelstanz Moscow from Russia, and Arcus Music from Croatia. Everyday fun is guaranteed with jesters, flag wavers, choirs and acrobats throughout the area and on the various stages of the event.

But what did we eat in the Middle Ages? In medieval taverns, you will find barrels full of various types of mead, hemp beer, cherry beer and more. The field bakeries churn out fresh bread, delicious specialties like Dinnede and Baumstriezel, and all kinds of desserts. Hemp bakery products are a must for every visitor.

At the Medieval Games, you can also spend the night with more than 1,400 re-enactors in the city of tents at the foot of the Coira Castle.
Among the attractions, one of the largest medieval markets in the Alps, with about 100 stalls.

You can also participate in some workshops to learn more about medieval life: falconry course, bagpipe course, hurdy-gurdy course, and full contact course.
