On August 24th and 25th in Ronciglione, in the province of Viterbo (Italy), the Corse a Vuoto will take place.
Nine horses for nine city districts, competing for the conquest of the Palio di San Bartolomeo.

What makes the Palio di Ronciglione so unique?
The fact for over 460 years the horses run free in the Corse a Vuoto through the Renaissance streets of Ronciglione. Without any jockey in the saddle, galloping on a course of about 800 meters, safely set up to guarantee the protection of the animal's well-being.

For the first time, it is possible to buy the numbered seat online to watch the Palio in the stands, in the departure area, the so-called Mossa.

• Saturday 24th August: six test batteries with three horses each
• Sunday 25th August: three qualifying batteries with six horses each, consolation finale with six horses and Palio Grand Final with six horses

In the area of ​​the Mossa, there will also be a maxi screen that will allow you to follow all the stages of the event, historical procession, extraction of numbers for the finals and ceremony for the delivery of the Palio to the winning district.
