The paradoxical journey for the liberation of Peace

The show is designed as an allegorical fable set in a circular and undefined time.

The plot follows the kidnapping and segregation of Peace, an event that plunges the world into chaos.

The protagonists undertake a paradoxical journey to fill this void, highlighting how social stability depends on caring for others and the power of shared ideas.

A short circuit between the ancient and the contemporary

The script, curated by Marco Ballerini and Micol Di Russo, activates an energetic dialogue between classical sources and modern influences. The narrative unfolds through high-profile cultural references:

Literature and Theater: From the rewriting of Aristophanes' "Peace" to the critical vision of Bertolt Brecht, and the words of Piero Calamandrei.

Music and Cinema: The vision of the individual celebrated in "A Million Dreams" and the emotionality of "Stay".

Civic Engagement: Reflections by Maestro Riccardo Muti, the thoughts of Gino Strada, and the spiritual legacy of Franco Battiato with "La cura" (The Care).

Artistic direction and cast

The project, directed by Franchino Campanella, features the active involvement of students from the Parini-Virgilio school complexes. The staging is the result of multidisciplinary work that combines:

Acting Direction: Marco Ballerini (with Micol Di Russo).

Orchestral Direction: Umberto Valesini.

Choir Direction: Silvia Pacione.

Choreography: Ivana Matola.

A message of resistance and creation

"ET IN TERRA PAX" concludes with a powerful symbolic dismantling of the wall of incommunicability.

Through movement, song, and acting, the students remind us that borders are human inventions and that peace must be invented and nurtured every day as an act of cultural resistance.
