The Corse a Vuoto finals return to Ronciglione on July 28th!
A unique event in the world, 9 districts, 18 horses, compete for the Palio in a racecourse built in the streets of the city of Ronciglione, on a route of approximately 800 meters where the horse runs shaken, free, without constraints launched into a gallop, set up in absolute safety to guarantee the protection of the animal's well-being.
The price of the grandstand ticket guarantees, in addition to access to the route, being able to attend the start comfortably seated and watch the entire event through the large screen located behind the starting boxes.
With entry to the parterre it will be possible to watch the Palio in the various areas of the route or perhaps move along the route itself to follow the other phases from the screens present in Piazza Principe di Piemonte and Piazza Vittorio Emanuele.
Sunday 28 July: Historical Parade, qualifying heats each made up of six horses, drawing of numbers for the finals, consolation heat made up of six horses and final also made up of six horses, ceremony for the awarding of the various prizes: “Raffaele” prize Antinelli” to the district winner of the “consolation”, “Salvatore Sangiorgi” prize to the winner of the winning horse, “Claudio Caterini” prize to the captain of the district who achieved the best placings in the various heats, the “Città di Ronciglione” Palio to the winning district .
Three hosts will liven up the afternoons with speeches, interviews with the protagonists and will take turns to talk about the various phases of the race route.
The Palio is not just a race, it is culture, tradition, sociality, entertainment, an experience not to be missed, exciting for tourists and Palio lovers.
