The city of Milan will be the venue for the 13th edition of the Golden Skate Awards, a prestigious international ice skating gala staged on Saturday 30th November in the renewed setting of the Allianz Cloud (formerly Palalido).

The great champions of figure skating are preparing to enchant thousands of fans in one of the most appreciated events in the world of ice, which will see among others the participation of three authentic world stars: Carolina Kostner, queen of the ice and most winning Italian in the history of figure skating, the Tsar Evgeni Plushenko, the most titled Russian champion on the planet with a bright collection of Olympic and world triumphs, and the Spanish twice world champion Javier Fernandez, Olympic bronze medalist at the last PyeongChang 2018 winter games.
Together with the three stars of the night, the Italian champions Matteo Rizzo and Daniel Grassl will enliven the show, the Italian champion Alessia Tornaghi and the couple formed by Charlène Guignard and Marco Fabbri. Among the most awaited international protagonists are the French champion Laurine Lecavelier, the famous Canadian couple Kaitlyn Weaver-Andrew Poje and the spectacular Russian athletes Fiona Zaldua and Dimitri Sukhanov.
The blades of the best skaters in the world will return to slide on the ice of Milan in an international event of strategic importance for the city, which also thanks to the thickness of its performers will ideally open the long road to the Winter Olympic Games of 2026 Milan-Cortina.
THE PROTAGONISTS
The former Palalido transformed into an ice rink will be the scene of a magical and exciting show in an unparalleled scenic setting that promises to enchant audiences of all ages. Speed and strength, elegance and technique, lights, vaults and acrobatics to the rhythm of music have made the show unique and engaging over the years.
Under the artistic direction of Laurent Tobel the best Italian skaters will alternate with the top international performers of the discipline: they promise to enchant our Matteo Rizzo, Daniel Grassl, Alessia Tornaghi and the Guignard-Fabbri couple. Together with the other international protagonists Laurine Lecavelier, the couples Weaver-Poje and Zaldua-Sukhanov there will be, three world giants of the ice of the caliber of Carolina Kostner, Evgeni Plushenko, and Javier Fernandez. Furthermore, the Russian legend will not be alone: his son Aleksandr Plushenko, also known as "Sasha" will perform on the ice, he is already considered a world star at the age of six.
THE PRIZE
The Golden Skate Awards, an event but also a prestigious recognition of the ice, returns to the shadow of the Duomo after 11 years (in 2008 the last edition in Assago) after the successes registered in Courmayeur, Bolzano, and Turin. In 12 editions the best skaters in the world were awarded the most coveted ice statuette, which with their performances, has thrilled thousands of fans in the halls and millions of spectators on TV. From Carolina Kostner to Evgeni Plushenko, from Stephan Lambiel to Shizuka Arawaka, all the skating greats can boast the most coveted figure for skating on their showcases, alongside Olympic medals and world titles.
