In the squares of Alba numerous tasting stalls where the great wines of Piedmont are protagonists.
The great red wines of the Langhe such as Barolo, Barbaresco, and Nebbiolo, the whites of the Langhe, the wines of Monferrato, Roero, Roero Arneis, Gavi, and Brachetto, Dolcetto, Asti Spumante, Moscato d 'Asti, without forgetting the vermouth, the grappas, and distillates of Piedmont are at the center of the tastings (all included in the booklet) offered from 10:30 to 20:00 at the tasting counters in the historic center of the city guided and supervised by the AIS Italian Sommelier Association – Piedmont section. There will also be many street foods stands with typical local products.

The appointment with VINUMINCANTINA – FOOD&WINE EXPERIENCE is also back, an experience designed to meet the needs of wine tourists and gourmets.
With VINUMINCANTINA you have the opportunity to visit some of the most important wineries of Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato selected by great chefs who, at the end of the tour, will prepare a special aperitif paired with the wine of the host company.
The experience is complete with a round-trip shuttle service from Alba.
There is also room for cooking classes, inside the Castle of Roddi, one of the most beautiful Italian cooking schools. Through theoretical-practical courses, you will be taught the traditional recipes of the Langhe, Monferrato, and Roero and the great iconic dishes of important chefs in a very special location.
Inside the Castle, there are 7 modern steel workstations complete with all kitchen utensils. Participants are always personally involved and will have the opportunity to taste what is being prepared, accompanied by a glass of wine. The didactic material with the recipe and the apron are always free. The chefs: Damiano Nigro, Raffaele Lenzi, Michele Minchillo, Dennis Cesco, Rugenio Boer, Paolo Griffa and Luigi Taglienti.
At the Castle of Roddi another appointment with VINUM AT THE TABLE: five gastronomic itineraries curated by chefs from the national scene, completed by a rich proposal of wines from the main Piedmontese DOC and DOCG "by the glass", from which the participants can choose.
The appointments are organized in collaboration with Piemonte Land of Wine and the Italian Sommelier Association to promote the food and wine culture of the area on a national and international level. Take part in the workshops on cheeses and wines: the ONAF (National Organization of Cheese Tasters) organizes a series of workshops on cheeses accompanied by wine tastings led by an AIS sommelier. An encounter in which knowledge passes through the tasting of cheeses paired with great local wines.
Vinum Lab awaits you in the Beppe Fenoglio room (Cortile della Maddalena) with thematic workshops and tastings on the food and wine world and insights into the native Piedmontese vines curated by an AIS sommelier, paired with excellent agri-food products.
The appointment with VINUM BIMBI for the little ones is a must: a children's area equipped with educational games handcrafted in wood and natural materials; a play area where, in the company of their parents, young visitors can learn about our magical UNESCO World Heritage hills while having fun.
