Integrated access control with turnstiles: ideal for large events, sports and theme parks

The turnstile is made up of a mechanical part (tripod, bridge, etc.) governed by an electronic unit, usually called the head.
And with good reason, because the head is the brain of the turnstile that must indicate, thanks to a software application, whether to grant or not the movement of the turnstile and then grant the entrance to the participant.

For large events, or for certain types of locations, it is important to choose an access control system that is able to integrate with the turnstiles.
Of course, the turnstiles are often already present in stadiums with a large capacity that periodically host big sports events, concerts, or attractions such as theme parks, water parks just to name a few examples.

With the turnstiles it is possible to check all the code types (QR Code, barcode, etc.) of an entrance ticket, both from paper and smartphone, in all visibility conditions.

The Clappit ticketing platform offers a multi-venue system: thanks to a single interface with the control panel, it allows to manage, in real time, several turnstiles in different venues distributed throughout the territory.
For example, from a single control panel in London, it is possible to check the turnstiles on three amusement parks located in Manchester, Liverpool and even abroad.

Enable and disable sectors
Clappit access control with turnstiles allows to enable or disable the code scanning for certain types of ticket in one or more turnstiles.
In this way it is possible, for example, that a turnstile entrance is dedicated to ticket verification of a specific sector or seat order.
This aspect is essential for stadiums and buildings that may have mandatory routes, to reach certain places.

Pass System Integration
Clappit, thanks to the integration with the Pass System, can enable a turnstile only for reading passes (staff, press, etc.) and deactivate the reading of tickets.
It is a very useful function, for example, to keep access to restricted areas under control.

Fast lane
Another advantage of Clappit access control with the turnstiles is the activation of a fast lane. That offers advantages, especially for certain types of venues, such as amusement or water parks.
For fast lane can be useful for entering the venue, such as a dedicated lane to online tickets or season tickets.

Adding turnstiles inside the venue
In some situations it may be necessary to have a turnstile inside the location, for example, to access certain attractions or to create dedicated lanes for particular services.
Clappit's system can also handle this need.
After entering the turnstile, you can convert the ticket into a bracelet and combine a recognizable photo, for example in the case of season tickets.

Adding a mobile access control station to the turnstiles
Thanks to the flexibility of the Clappit ticketing platform, in case of need the system allows to add to an entrance equipped with a turnstile, one or more mobile access control stations to enhance and speed.

Notifications and reports
A feature appreciated by event organizers and by the public is the ability to send notifications related to access control.
It is a feature that can be activated in mobile access control and also with turnstiles.
For example, it can notify the entry of certain types of participants (also for security checks) or send personalized messages on the turnstile display (for example, the birthday of a subscriber).

In addition to notifications, Clappit ticketing platform offers the report with the inputs of each turnstile, in real time. For example, the numbers of the expected and entered viewers.
As well as, post-event, get the report on the number of participants passed by each turnstile. Clappit is able to configure other detailed reports according to the different needs of the event organizer.

Clappit application for the turnstiles also provides for the storage of data useful for counting the public in a specific area or for the maintenance of the system. For example, display in the control panel the number of laps performed by the turnstile, how many for reading a ticket and how many for other reasons.
