AURA - Valentino Garavani - Ewa Juszkiewicz

The Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti Foundation presents AURA.

Valentino Garavani – Ewa Juszkiewicz is the third exhibition hosted at PM23, a space dedicated to the Foundation’s cultural initiatives, located in Piazza Mignanelli in the heart of the city.

AURA evokes a threshold where the familiar remains recognizable yet suddenly takes on an unexpected appearance: a space suspended between reality and imagination, where transformation gives rise to a new way of seeing.

In Valentino Garavani’s creative language, the female figure plays a central role; color, materials, volume, and movement enhance the silhouette, with the intent of elevating her presence and allowing the aura of every woman to emerge and shine.

In the paintings of Ewa Juszkiewicz, the portrait undergoes a process of metamorphosis. Drawing upon the European tradition of female portraiture, the artist transforms the faces of her subjects into configurations of hair, fabric, flowers, and other organic forms, redefining the codes of portraiture and opening the image to new, alternative interpretations.

Across both creative paths, recognizable elements and historical references take on fresh meanings, becoming part of new visual languages ​​and forging connections between fashion and painting. The exhibition brings together 38 garments selected from the Maison Valentino archive and 26 paintings by Ewa Juszkiewicz.

The exhibition will be open to the public from October 18, 2026, to February 21, 2027.
