The Merate site of the Brera Astronomical Observatory, part of INAF – the Italian National Institute for Astrophysics, is one of Italy’s leading hubs for astronomical research and scientific outreach.

Active since the early years of the 20th century, the site now hosts research groups, advanced technological laboratories, and two historic telescopes open to public visits.

Within the centuries-old park are the domes of the Ruths telescope and the Zeiss telescope, used both for daytime guided tours and evening observations dedicated to schools and the general public.

To efficiently manage access to visits, the INAF Merate site chose Clappit as its automated ticketing platform, centralizing online ticket sales for scientific events and outreach activities.
