International Festival of Different Abilities

The International Festival of Different Abilities was born from the experience of the Nazareno social cooperative, which this year reaches its 26th edition!

During the Festival, shows, conferences, seminars, films, books, testimonies, workshops are offered: all of this with the person at the centre, where the condition of fragility reveals even more the need for relationship and expression inherent in everyone.

La Balena Bianca (The White Whale)

Inspired by Melville's masterpiece Moby Dick – The White Whale is a journey across the sea and into the human heart. While the whale is chased away from Captain Ahab's ship Pequod, the drama of the biblical story of Jonah trapped in the belly of another whale unfolds in the minds of the sailors. In the hollow of an abyss that surrounds everyone, the two whales are the symbol of a destiny to be fought or accepted.
On stage is Compagnia Manolibera, a co-op theater company. Nazarene.

The assistant coach of the most important Spanish basketball team, an arrogant man who is intolerant of the rules, finds himself forced to serve an alternative sentence to prison by having to coach a team of mentally disabled kids, Los Amigos. His closeness and commitment to the team will be the opportunity to recover himself, his passion for training and his relationship with the woman he loves. After the film he will follow a meeting with the coach and basketball player Marco Calamai, creator of an experimental inclusive basketball method.
